Merilyn Marshall Cullen is the CEO of MMC Designs, LLC - an interior design studio based in Westfield, NJ.

Ms. Cullen is considered by many in the design industry to be a visionary in the fine art of home design. Her designs epitomize novelty and pizzazz - often combining the artful beauty of classic design with a bold, whimsical flair.

No doubt, Merilyn is one of the most sought after home designers
in the state, and her designs have appeared in the homes of some pretty famous people. "I was so surprised to see myself in the center of the toile," said Michael Strahan, all-pro defensive end
for the New York Giants. "Then, I really enjoyed it. It's one of
my favorite rooms in the house," he added.

Merilyn places a high premium on satisfying her client's artistic tastes.

"My design philosophy is that it's all about the client," Merilyn said. "I believe my strongest quality is that
I create interiors that are comfortable, functional
and beautiful."

An example of Merilyn's design inventiveness: For Mansions in May 2008, she has created a damask - a figured fabric with a pattern formed by weaving - using dogs as a pattern. Normally, damasks use flowers as their pattern, but Merilyn preferred dogs. So, she created a damask titled, "Delightful Dog Lover's Damask," a work
of striking elegance and youthful charm.

"MMC Designs is not afraid to push the envelope of conventional design," Merilyn said. "We love to customize our design patterns to suit our client's tastes."

As a result, MMC Designs, LLC is considered by many to be a pioneer
in customized wallpaper and fabric design. Other notable clients include Patti Steele, DJ of WPLJ, and Princeton Theological Seminary.

"Merilyn is a talented space planner," said Jamie Gibbs, chairman
of Gibbs & Associates. "She has a flair for color; her work is whimsical, yet extremely practical."

Prior to venturing out on her own, Merilyn had a career as a law librarian for one of the most prestigious law firms in NY. However, she gradually tired of the legal profession. "I needed something new, something different," she explained.

So, she decided to enroll in Parsons School of Design in New York, one of the top interior design colleges in the nation. After attending Parsons, she went to work for a small design studio in New Providence, NJ. There she learned the ins-and-outs of the design business hands-on.

"How do I describe Merilyn's work?" asked Eric Bryant, CEO of Gnosis Arts Multimedia Communications. "Her work is like a recurring leitmotif in a Wagner symphony," he said. "Her designs combine classical ideas with popular modern iconography to create some of the most brilliant juxtapositions I've ever seen in interior design."

It was that unbridled creativity that led to the conception of MMC Designs, LLC. As a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, Merilyn decided to continue learning from the best designers in the industry. Like a true artist, she would not settle for anything less than perfection in her design. Through many long, arduous hours of creation, she polished her uniquely innovative design style.

Her designs are striking in their beauty and detail. In fact, her designs have been validated by two multi-million dollar companies: NIKE and Blonder Wall Coverings. Both these internationally-known corporations have utilized design ideas that Merilyn conceived.

MMC Designs has also been featured in prominent news publications such as the NY Times, USA Today, the NY Post and Morris Magazine. Additionally, her company has been praised on CBS Morning News as one of the premier interior home design studios in the tri-state area.
